Francesco d'Assisi Tour

Service Description

Beautiful experience that combines e-bike excursion together with the history of San Francesco d'Assisi. The tour is about 8-9 hours i with several stops in the places where San Francesco d'Assisi lived and pilgrimaged. The tour starts from Anghiari at about 09:30, the trail will be chose based on the level of the group: during the excursion, we will visit Ponte alla Piera where we will cross a beautiful Roman bridge, we w climb towards Faggeto through a beautiful forest road up to Casa Taverni, wherewe stop for lunch and recharging the E-Bikes. The tour will continue in the afternoon until the Eremo della Casella and finally we arrived to the beautiful Santuario della Verna, where San Francesco retreated for a long period of prayer. After a short visit to the Santuario, the return to Anghiari is planned with cars and vans organized by Anghiari Trail. The trail is about 40 km and 1000 meters of altitude difference (depending on the paths taken), assistance is provided by a van, which will carry any bags and chargers, the cost of the excursion including the bike, helmet, guide and various services (lunch and return by car) is € 120.00 per person with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 people. Tours can be organized for smaller groups with a cost to be agreed with the organizers.
